We provide photography services including, but not limited to, portrait, maternity, branding, event, and wedding photography. Specific service details, deliverables, and timelines are outlined in individual contracts or booking agreements.

2. Booking & Payments
A non-refundable retainer may be required to reserve your date.
Remaining balances are due as outlined in your invoice or contract.
Dates are not secured until the retainer is paid.

Failure to pay may result in cancellation of services.

Retainers and payments are applied toward your total service fee and are not transferable unless explicitly approved.

3. Cancellations & Rescheduling
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please contact us as soon as possible.
Retainers are non-refundable.

Rescheduling is subject to availability.
Additional fees may apply depending on timing and location changes.

If we must cancel due to illness, emergency, or circumstances beyond our control, we will make reasonable efforts to reschedule or refund all payments made, including the retainer.

4. Creative Control
By booking, you acknowledge that our editing style and artistic judgment are part of the service. Edits beyond standard retouching may incur additional fees.

We do not release unedited or RAW images under any circumstances.

5. Delivery
Galleries are delivered digitally within the timeframe listed in your contract. Delivery times may vary during peak seasons.

We are not responsible for:
lost downloads
expired gallery links after posted availability windows
user storage issues
Clients are encouraged to download and back up their images.

6. Copyright & Usage
We retain full copyright to all images created. Clients receive a license for personal use unless otherwise specified.
You may not:

alter edits, sell images, claim authorship
submit to contests/publications without written approval

Commercial or branding licenses must be purchased separately.

7. Model Release
By booking, you grant permission for us to use images for portfolio, marketing, social media, website, and promotional use unless you opt out in writing prior to your session.

8. Limitation of Liability
We will exercise reasonable care in providing services. However, we are not liable for:

equipment failure, unforeseen environmental issues accidents or delays beyond our control

In any case, our liability shall not exceed the amount paid for services.

9. Website Content
Content on this website, including images, text, branding, and graphics, is owned by BJ Hyland Photography and may not be copied, downloaded, or used without written permission.
